Solstice Blessings Linocut Ornament

These are my Solstice ornaments that I created as a spell for life-giving abundance and cosmic balance for the winter season.

The process

• First, I went through a few rounds of designs that I created digitally while keeping my intentions in mind. I kept thinking of my own need to slow down and enjoy life, creating lasting memories with friends and family. I also thought more broadly, the need for cosmic balance during trying times.

• I then transferred this design onto linoleum which I hand-carved to create a relief “stamp”.
• And finally I mixed the colors and hand-printed it onto the wooden ornaments all in one day.

These are finished with velvet bows, hanging ribbon and an organza bag, ready for gifting or to gift yourself.

I have three different colors: Classic Red, Plum, and Blush. The classic red is a bright neutral red with a wine red ribbon, the plum is a dark brownish purple with an aqua-blue ribbon, the blush is an earthy terracotta pink with a coppery brown ribbon.
